George S. Sinnott, CLU, ChFC, AEP, MBA

President

President of Sinnott Wealth Management, George Sinnott has dedicated his career to helping people achieve their financial goals. George is an independent financial advisor whose practice focuses on the unique wealth management needs of high net worth individuals, businesses, medical professionals and successful small business owners.

George has earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Accredited Estate Planner. In addition to passing comprehensive examinations, continuing education is a requirement of maintaining these designations.

As a strong believer in financial education, George developed and taught retirement planning seminars and courses at Pace University, Manhattanville College, Westchester Community College, Iona College and BOCES. He regularly conducts financial management workshops and seminars for Kraft Foods and Altria Corporation as well as other employers that want to provide their employees with practical and cost effective counseling.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Pace University, George attained a Master of Business Administration degree from Iona College. George is also an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Westchester and the Financial Planning Association.

George lives in Ossining. He has three children; Debbie who is an attorney and Sandy, a CPA both of whom work with him at Sinnott Wealth Management and a son Marc.

Deborah A. Sinnott, Esq., CFP®, MBA, CLTC

Vice President

Vice President of Sinnott Wealth Management, Debbie Sinnott specializes in client relations and financial analysis. In addition, her legal expertise has enabled her to position herself as a tremendous resource for many of our clients in the areas of estate planning and corporate matters.

Prior to joining Sinnott Wealth Management, Debbie worked for the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP specializing in corporate transactions. Her primary areas of focus were mergers and acquisitions and banking and credit.

Debbie has earned the professional designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) and Certified Long Term Care specialist (CLTC). In addition to passing comprehensive examinations, continuing education is a requirement of maintaining these designations.

Debbie received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and she has an M.B.A. from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration as well. Debbie also has a B.S. degree from Fordham in Finance and Marketing.
When not at work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and her three boys Andrew, Ryan and Tyler. She enjoys New York Mets baseball and traveling. Debbie has also advocated with InMotion on behalf of abused women concerning the issues of orders of protection, child custody, visitation and divorce matters.

Sandy Wetzel, CPA

Client Services Relationship Manager

Sandy joined Sinnott Wealth Management in 2008 as our client services relationship manager. In addition to financial planning, Sandy provides tax planning services to our clients.

Sandy has also been helping companies evaluate and improve their 401K plans. A strong proponent of financial education, she has created a niche for herself by helping women become more knowledgeable about their finances. She believes that every woman with the proper information can develop the skills that they need to handle their financial affairs successfully.

Sandy received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Accounting from Pace University in 1991. Since then, she has worked in public accounting for Arthur Andersen & Co., with a concentration in audit and has also worked for several Fortune 500 companies in their corporate accounting departments. She earned the professional designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1995. Sandy is an active member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and she currently holds the Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) licenses.

Sandy lives in Carmel, New York. When she’s not at work, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
